The Training and Placement Office at P. A. Inamdar College of Visual Effects, Design and Art is dedicated to preparing students to confidently transition from classrooms into top-tier studio workflows. Placement Regulations & TPO Support

P. A. Inamdar College of Visual Effects, Design and Art has established a training & placement office (TPO) to help the students secure jobs after completion of their course. It also assists the students to prepare them for job interviews.

Eligibility And Registration

Placement Assistance is a facility provided for the students by the college. Registration is not compulsory for those who are not willing to acquire this facility. Students not interested in acquiring placement assistance, need not register.
  • Registrations shall commence in the last semester of the course.
  • Students having 2 or more backlogs are advised not to register for placements.
  • Those who have not completed their portfolio are not allowed to register for this facility.
  • A week prior to the registration week, a no dues certificate needs to be produced from the accounts department and completion of portfolio status from the TPO is mandatory.
  • Students who have acquired their degrees and were not placed in the earlier year will not be allowed to re-register.
  • A student who has maintained 75% and above attendance record throughout the course is allowed to register for the placement policy.

Resume Guidelines

Students will be provided with their official email ID at the time of admission and are advised to send across the updated resume in the prescribed format only.
  • Students are expected to follow the college resume template available with the Training & Placement Officer for preparing the resumes.
  • The resume needs to be submitted in the stipulated time period. No resume will be accepted after the said date.
  • Resume once submitted cannot be modified. DEADLINES will NOT be extended under any circumstances.
  • Students are advised to read the announcements made, go through the company profile and apply only if interested.
  • The resume details have to be genuine and any student found violating these rules will be disallowed from placements on a permanent basis.

Pre-Placement Activities

Notice for pre-placement activities will be published on our social media accounts and in the official WhatsApp groups of the college. Students are advised to keep a note of the same.
  • Students who fail to attend the pre-placement activities will not be entitled to Placement Assistance from the college.
  • The college will organize pre-placement activities to groom student soft-skills and technical skills.
  • In case a student remains absent consistently for pre-placement activities, he/she will not be eligible for placement assistance by the college.
  • Under the pre-placement activities, the college may organize Mock Interviews, HR Grooming sessions, Soft Skills sessions and other important events.

Placement Process

It is the responsibility of the student to check announcements/notices/updated information/shortlisted names etc. on the notice boards / official social channels of the college.
  • Students are expected to be in time as per the announcements.
  • Attendance will be considered right from the date of admission which should be a minimum of 75%.
  • A student who gets shortlisted is bound to go through the entire selection process unless rejected by the company. Failure in doing so will result in the student not being allowed for placement assistance in the future.
  • Coming late for interviews or registration processes is discouraged and will disqualify the student from further processes.
  • Students should maintain discipline and show ethical behavior in every action they take during the placement process.
  • Any student found violating the discipline rules set by the company or defaming the college name will be disallowed from placements on a permanent basis.
  • Students found cheating or misbehaving in the process will not be allowed for placement assistance on a permanent basis.

Job Offers Policy

Each student is eligible only for three job offers.
  • In case of multiple offers, if there is a delay in the announcement of the results by the companies, the student is bound to accept the job offer whose result is declared earlier.
  • If the results are declared on the same day, the student may choose from the offers in hand and inform the placement office of his choice, within 24 hours of the announcement of results.
  • A student selected by a company is out of placement assistance thereafter.
  • OFFER OF JOB: Announcement made by the company’s official email will be considered as a firm offer.
  • Offers received from companies must be collected as per timings in a circular/notice. The responsibility of going through the offer letter and taking actions therein such as submission of documents lies entirely with the student.
  • In case offers are received directly by the student from the company, the same must be intimated to the Training & Placement Office.
  • Offer letter copy needs to be submitted in the college office and post-placement formalities need to be completed as instructed.

Miscellaneous Regulations

  • Medical Test: The placement office assumes that every selected student will pass a medical test (if required). If there is a rejection at this stage, the student's registration will be renewed and the student becomes eligible again to seek placement through the college.
  • Joining Status: In case a student decides not to join a company, he/she should inform the company in writing with reasons. He/she would also be required to submit a copy of that letter to the TPO of the college.
  • Dress Code: Students must be formally dressed whenever they participate in any sort of interaction with a company. The college reserves the right to refuse permission to a student to attend the selection process if their attire is unsatisfactory.
  • Identity Cards: Students must bring their identity cards with them whenever they go through a placement process.
  • For all matters not covered by the above regulations, the Training & Placement Office will use its discretion to take appropriate decisions.
Important Declarations

Scope: The placement facility is only applied to programs of one year and above. However, the college may assist other short-term course students in case any vacancies remain unfulfilled.
