VEDA College aims to provide a safe, respectful, and productive creative environment for all students. Adherence to these core rules is required.
Students must read and abide by the student code of conduct and handbook provided at the time of admission. Failure to comply will initiate immediate disciplinary action.
A minimum of 75% class attendance is compulsory for all courses to be eligible for any semester, year, or course-end examinations and certifications.
To maintain classroom decorum and learning consistency, entry to labs or classrooms is restricted for students who arrive late.
For campus security, students are strictly not allowed within the college premises or labs without carrying a valid college-issued ID card.
The use of tobacco, alcohol, and other similar substances on campus premises is considered a serious offense and is strictly prohibited.
Students are required to pay the full replacement cost (lowest Pune market price) of any damaged device, equipment, or college infrastructure if caused by them.
The campus premises are under active CCTV surveillance. Students are required to behave responsibly and maintain code of conduct decorum at all times.
To preserve high-end equipment, no eatables, solid or liquid, are allowed inside the technical computer labs and classrooms.
The college reserves the right to stop all placement assistance and non-university services for students failing to comply with attendance, portfolio assignments, or college policies.
In compliance with regulatory orders, VEDA College operates a zero-tolerance policy against ragging. Strictly enforced rules protect our students on-campus and off-campus.
Ragging includes verbal teasing/harassment, rowdy or undisciplined activities causing physical/psychological harm, forced acts causing embarrassment, financial extortion, and physical/sexual abuse. Any such act both on-campus or off-campus is strictly prohibited.
If individual offenders or abettors of ragging are not identified, the institution will resort to collective punishment as a deterrent measure.
The head of the institution will file a First Information Report (FIR) with the local police within 24 hours of reporting if a case under penal laws is established.
