VEDA is organizing a trip to Mumbra where it has established a branch named Saif Technologies and Visionary (STAV) College. The inauguration ceremony will be held on January 31 2014.

Students are requested to report at the college premises by 9.00 A.M.

In continuation of chasing victory, VEDA as animation college , made another history in Intercollegiate competition at MIT School of Business , Pune named Enthusia 2013 on 20-Dec-2013 Saturday.
Students of B.Sc. Animation and other animation courses of VEDA were one of the entry amongst 100 + colleges in the event.
Students of College of Visual Effects,Design & Art performed on their trademark concept of Mute Drama Song “Halkat Boys” and got standing ovation from the crowd. They stood First in the Group Dance Category.
Students of B.Sc. Animation and M.Sc. Animation also won Second prize in Mad-Ads Category and Treasure Hunt. The Joy of students after winning the trophy was sky high.
VEDA was participated as animation and Designing College in the event. Mr. Rishi Aacharya– Head of Dept. PAI International Learning Solutions congratulated winner students at this moment.

 

Students of College of Visual Effects,Design & Art (VEDA) visited the biggest animation festival of the country- TASI Anifest. The 7th Anifest was the biggest and most spectacular of them all. The 2- day festival saw the best of Indian and international professionals who showcased their work and gave insights of the animation market and UG & PG Animation Degreethe high standards they wish to establish every time. These type of workshops inspires the students to scale new heights through their creations.

The first day started with behind the scenes from award winning film Life of Pie and showcase of work from top graphic novel publishers in the country, Manta ray and Campfire. Along with screening of the selected films for the contest, Academy award nominated animator Damian Nenow showed his latest short film Paths of Hate.

Dhimant Vyas, the clay magician along with Vaibhav Kumaresh and Chetan Sharma organized an animation workshop for the students on the second and last day. An healthy tonic by animation guru Prosenjit ganguly kept the crowd in its toes. Adam Lee from Lucasfilm Singapore put an insight into the film Pacific Rim. The day ended with prize distribution ceremony and felicitation.

The participating students and professionals were kept for wanting more at the end of two days frenzy but they have to wait till the next year. First year B.Sc. student, Ashish Joshi was very excited “This is my first time in Anifest. I really loved it and especially enjoyed the drawing workshop conducted by the animation stalwarts Vaibhav Kumaresh, Chetan Sharma and Dhimant Vyas.”
