ANIMATION SOCIETIES

P.A.Inamdar College of Visual Effects, Design & Arts, always promote our students to engage themselves with the world animation and media communities. In the same context here we are making a short list of societies related with animation and media, so that our students get in connection with them and get updated by the latest activities of world wide animation industry or communities. Our effort is not only for our own students, but we feel happy if any body who is in the animation field or interested for animation or media will find our contribution helpful to them.

Indian Society for Art & Animation

Indian Society for Art & Animation – ISAA, founded in 2016, the idea behind creating this platform is to bring voices of fine art and animation community together. Currently the status of both the communities is not healthy. There are very few platforms to meet creative minds of these two areas.

The Visual Effects Society (VES)

Formed in the year 1997, VES is the organization that represents all visual effects practitioners such as animators, artists, model makers, technologists, studio leaders, educators, supervisors, producers, PR/marketing specialists working on television, music videos, commercials, games and films.

Society for animation studies

Society for Animation Studies (SAS) was founded in the year 1987 by Dr. Harvey Deneroff. SAS is dedicated to studying animation theory and history. An annual conference is held by SAS each year at different locations around the world, where recent research in this field is presented by the members.

The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA

Association Internationale du Film d’Animation which is abbreviated as ASIFA was founded in the year 1960 by Norman McLaren and popular animation artists. The association has around 30 chapters in various nations. The annual Annie Awards is presented by the organization’s Hollywood chapter.
