Resume workshop
A resume writing workshop was organized for the students on 05th August, 2013. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Rohit Lalwani, Assistant General Manager of TalentBridgeInc. The aim of the workshop was to enhance the resume writing skills of the students. Along with it, he also introduced a national –level competition on resume writing for Undergraduates.

During the workshop, Mr. Lalwani explained the various processes involved in writing a resume. He told that a single resume can alter the career prospects of an individual. He further said that a person takes around 15 to 20 seconds to read a resume. Thus, efforts should be made to make your resume stand out and grab the recruiter’s attention in such a short span of time. He further explained the increase in probability of employability of a candidate through his/her resume. He cleared the misconceptions among the students regarding the difference between a resume and curriculum vitae (CV). The importance of Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) narrative in the preparation of a resume was also described to the students.

After the workshop, a questionnaire session was conducted where the students asked their questions and cleared their doubts regarding the subject. Mr. Lalwani answered all their questions with patience and the students gained valuable knowledge through the process.

At the end of the occasion, our HR Madam, Ms. Ketaki Pole thanked Mr. Lalwani for embracing the occasion and told the students that they should now create exemplary resumes without any help after attending this workshop.
